Banyan & Cap
Banyans were garments worn by men in the 18th Century at home as a sort of dressing gown or informal coat over the shirt and breeches. Banyans were influenced by Persian and Asian clothing and were a loose, T-shaped or kimono-like garment with the sleeves and body cut as one piece. It was usually paired with a soft, turban-like cap.
The Banyan and Cap above was made by the Captain with 5 oz green linen and fully lined with black linen. Based on original garments and professionally sewn. One size fits most. $225.00 (includes US priority shipping).
Slops
Custom-made 100% gray cotton canvas Pirate slops or trousers based upon pants worn by pirates and sailors in the late 17th century and early 18th century. Pants are gray and have side pockets. They will fit a waist 44" and can be adjusted a few inches smaller with the ties in the back. Pewter buttons are on the front fly and the inseam is 23.5" These historically would be worn either barefoot or with stockings and shoes--the hem of the pants hit above the ankles and this pair has a frayed hem. $60 (includes US priority shipping).
Sleeved "Slop Contract" Waistcoat
Early 18th Century "slop contract" sleeved waistcoat, perfect for sailors and pirates. Fits chest sizes 46 inches. Made of green linen and lined in natural linen with black linen lining in the sleeves. Two shallow, working pockets with flaps. You will need to furnish buttons of your choice.
"Slop Contract" waistcoats where specified by the navy and were cut shorter than other waistcoats of the period to accommodate the working environment at sea.

Red Linen Waistcoat
Reproduction Red Linen Early 18th Century Waistcoat or Vest. Made of 100% linen and fully lined in linen. Functional front pockets and pocket flaps. There are 22 sewn buttonholes, however I have left them unopened for you to open the number you see fit and in accordance with the button size you choose on your own. Buttons ARE NOT included. Waistcoat will fit a size 46" chest.
This long style waistcoat measures 34" in front from the neck to the hem. It's appropriate from the 1690s through the first quarter of the 18th Century. Excellent for Pirates!
The outside fabric is a reddish-orange linen and lined with a combination of red, brown and gray linen. Interior is interfaced with cotton canvas. Everything has been preshrunk and is machine washable!
